I have some beautiful very young singing male canaries. the oldest are about 8 mo old, the youngest are about 6 mo old. They're all singing.
These birds are kept indoors, given fresh clean earth, fresh dandylion greens daily, fresh grass heads we grow ourselves, and regular seeds of different kinds, also fresh water at least twice a day or more.
They have no mites or bugs. they are cleaned with ivermect inside and out.
and if you are interested, remember they will NOT eat dirty seed or drink anything but perfectly fresh water. So if you don't have time to keep them clean and give them what they need don't bother.
